If you child likes Wonder Pets TV show, chances are he/she will love this book. My 18 mo carried this book for a week everywhere with her. She will look over and over through the pages and enjoy me reading it to her and point out the characters and the surroundings. I know this book so well now, that I can tell you exactly how many trees or birds on every page, lol. She can point out Tuck, and Ming-Ming and Lenny and the rest of the characters. We ordered more books from the series and can't wait to get them in the mail!

This was our first introduction to Wonder Pets. I chose the book originally, because my 2 year old son loves animals and is getting interested in dinosaurs. It was a huge hit. Since then we've seen the TV show and we've purchased other books. It is brightly colored, it is a cute story, and it has a good message. I like my son learning kindness and teamwork in a fun way with Wonder Pets.

This one had the best reviews, so I grabbed it. My daughters all love the Wonder Pets. They recognized the story from pictures and were able to "read" it to each other. My youngest likes to rip the pictures off of board books. I thought she'd outgrown it or that she wouldn't destroy something she loved so much. No such luck. It was the best while it lasted, though. Back to cloth books for us!

My 2.5 year old son adores this book. As we read this book together, he'll interrupt me to recap the cartoon episodes for each animal in trouble and how it was saved. This book incorporates different animals from Wonder Pets cartoon episodes: penguin, elephant, skunk, bullfrog, sheep, kangaroo, chimp, fish, and owl.My only complaint (and why this book did not receive 5 stars) ... Author should have included the three characters' names - Linny, Tuck, and Ming Ming - into the book either on the first or last page. Although children know their names, they do not appear in print in this book.Book style: board book, Size: 5" x 6", Pages: 22 (11 front and back)

cute, kid loves it

OK, so this is not the most challenging book ever. My kids (3 and 4 years old) love to read it and then act out the scenes or tell each other stories about the adventures on each page. It encourages them to use their imaginations and exercises their verbal abilities, which gets it an A+ in my book.

It is a super cute book. My daughter loves it a lot. But, it's a pretty small book I thought it would be a little larger in size.

This is the perfect length for a small kid 2-5 years old. It isn't so long you want it to end but not so short that it was like you didn't read a book at all. It is a great sum up of the movie in a little book and the installations are very cute and colorful.

I can't rave enough about Dr. Sarno and how his books changed my life. The Divided Mind is my favorite, but I feel someone would need to read one of his earlier books first: Healing Back Pain, Mind Over Back Pain, or the Mind Body Prescription (I've read all of them but I think Healing Back Pain is the best). I understand why/how people can be skeptical of Dr. Sarno's theory and If you don't believe it will work for you, then it probably won't. All I can tell you is that I am 47 years old and until I read his first book last year after I was at my wits end in pain and becoming very depressed with my quality of life, I had lived with chronic, severe pain throughout my body (mostly in my neck/shoulders, sciatica, and knees), off and on since I was about 12 years old, stemming from a diagnosis of scoliosis and worsening after a car accident when I was 21. My adult life has been very limited, activity-wise, and I truly feel like I now have a new lease on life. I have been pain-free since reading Healing Back Pain more than a year ago (I did have one relapse but now have the tools to recover), and I honestly do not expect to experience back pain ever again in my lifetime. I know I sound like a paid actor or a member of a crazy cult, and, believe me, for me to say I am not in pain is unreal to me, too!! The Divided Mind is my favorite of his books but, like I said, read an earlier book first and then try this one. Good luck, and I hope your Dr. Sarno experience is as life-changing as mine was.

Life changing!!!! If you are in pain... READ THIS BOOK!!!! After 10 years of back, neck and shoulder pain, I am finally pain free. Follow Dr. Sarno's advice and go cold turkey on everything and have no fear about getting back to doing all those things you are afraid of doing!! It took me about 6-8 weeks to get pain free... it was gradual for me but damn... it works!!!!!!!

I would not have believed that you could be cured of debilitating pain just by getting a knowledge prescription. Like most of the stories with in the pages of his books I was at the end of my rope battling back, shoulder, tendinitis and other aches. After being diagnosed by a back surgeon and a chiropractor with a herniated disc two bulging discs and a compartment fracture in my lower back I thought I was broken. I was always very active and I was told to stop and let myself heal. I did chiropractic, hot cold therapy, ultrasound, electric stem, acupuncture, active release, Cupping, physical therapy, oxygen therapy, steroid pack, anti-inflammatories narcotic pain killers and was scheduled for an epidural and surgery was talked about as the final solution. I was on the phone with a friend and was telling him how broken I was when he told me that the pain was all in my head and to look up Dr. Sarno. I said he was nuts and I have the MRI's that show I am broken. He told me to watch the Dr. Sarno 20-20 interview with John Stossal and the Howard Stern interview. After seeing the videos I Immediately purchased the book Healing Back pain. The book was a heck of a lot cheaper than my co-pay so I purchased it for $10.00 on Amazon. It was truly amazing, when I read, I could feel myself actually healing. Since my Healing I have recommended Dr. Sarino's work to many people and will continue to be one of his messengers. Thank you Dr. Sarno!!

Life changing! I suffered (yes past tense) from fibromyalgia for over 10 years. It never made sense that there was no reason that could be found for the pain. In less than a month I am pain free because of this book and his other book "The Mind Body Prescription". This may sound too good to be true but I had tried everything (everything) else and nothing else worked so I figured I had nothing to lose. I am humbled and grateful to Dr Sarno for standing up to the medical establishment and thus enabling to live life again pain free.

I give this book five stars. It is John E. Sarno's most recent book that he has written on TMS. I jumped into it and then realized that it would be better for me to go back and read Healing Back Pain and The Mindbody Perscription in that order. So that is exactly what I did and now I feel like this book is making much more sense to me. I highly recomend this book, but after someone has read one or both of the other books by Sarno that I mentioned above.

A "must read" if you are sick and tired of being sick and tired. A more impactful book is Dr. Sarno's "Healing Back Pain." It is universal for nearly all that ails you. Insert your ailment in place of "Back Pain." You will be simultaneously healed and empowered.With subsequent books (Mind Body Prescription and The Divided Mind), Dr. Sarno seems to be trying to convince a skeptical medical community of the validity of his observations. This is the reason I only give it 4 stars. It is not written for the average reading consumer.Read all of Dr. Sarno's books and Steven Ray Ozanich's books. If you are one of the 15-20% that are willing to consider what Dr. Sarno has observed is true, you will experience the miraculous.

Overall, this is a great book. It is packed with tons of excellent information on how to take a kit guitar from raw wood, sand it, paint it, assemble it, wire it, and set it up. I bought 2 electric guitar kits; an Offset Flying V for myself, and a Mockingbird styled version for my daughter to give us a project each that we could do together. This has given her another medium to express her creativity. First in painting the guitar, next when she gets to play it. I like how the author laid out this book. Each of the sections build upon the knowledge gained in the prior one giving you more in-depth knowledge as the projects get more complicated. The first chapter is probably teaches you everything you need to know to complete your first bolt neck kit. Or it comes very close anyway. The second chapter covers a more complicated build and how to relic the guitar. I personally never have understood why anyone would want to buy something that doesn't look new since none of the marks mean anything unlike an actual antique with marks that arrived through decades of use. Chapter three hours over the differences to complete a set neck guitar and chapter for goes into taking two kitsand combining them into one two neck guitar. In his build he combined a 6 string Axis styled electric guitar with a 4 string electric bass. In this chapter he even covers the required woodworking to mate the kits together so that they are aesthetically pleasing to look at while also maintaining playability. A side note about the book format:I bought the kindle version which is a little difficult to flip back and forth in since I didn't use the bookmark feature the first time through the book. If, like me, you are building your first kit guitar, I highly recommend bookmarks since you will be referring back to the various sections add your build progresses.

I don't know if the description specifies, but this is about building kit guitars. Although most of the same details apply to any guitar build, there are certain things when you are mixing suppliers and making stuff yourself that you won't get out of this book, although by taking bits and pieces from each separate build, you will get the brunt of it (just be ready to flip some pages). Exceptional photos and step-by-step instructions throughout, well-written and stays on point. Area most lacking is in fretting, as it uses pre-constructed necks for the builds, but also doesn't talk about leveling or polishing or any of that - maybe better for the beginner this book is aiming at. The relic techniques are interesting and probably pretty useful if you are into that. Gives you finishing techniques that don't require a spray booth (or gun), and basically just keeps it pretty simple. Some of the best written and illustrated setup (bridge and nut height) techniques that I can recall seeing in print. A great place for a beginner to guitar building to start, and will give a tinkerer some ideas to modify and improve their guitar.

It's a good reference for specifically assembling and finishing a guitar made from kit pieces. Great overview of finish coating, setup, distressing the guitar (aesthetically) and assembling the components. There's very little information about how to carve and build your own body or neck/fretboard.

This is a fantastic book if you're building guitars from kits. It is well written and well illustrated with hundreds of color photographs. It contains lots of great info on getting professional-looking results using commonly available tools and finishing materials. I've had it for a couple of years, and I still refer to it frequently.

Good info; worth adding to your library,

Should be, "How to paint or distress a kit guitar". Very weak on setup and wiring. Not even the basics. Tells how to measure neck bow, but not any requirements of how to setup the guitar before measuring that, or even a hint of what to do if you need to alter it. So if you want to know how to paint a burst Stratocaster up from raw wood, this is the book. If you're starting with a painted body, this book is not adding much information you'll need. Without consulting other sources you'll probably be paying someone else to have it made playable. If you want to build from wood block, this is also not the book for you.

This book is great about teaching you the basics of how to work on a guitar, but is aimed at utilizing guitar kits to make a guitar rather than working with a solid plank of wood. Still a good read and full of a lot of useful information about wiring and how to artificially weather a guitar.

This is a comprehensive book that not only tries to teach you how to build two different types of guitars from a kit but Will Kelly also includes tips and tricks from his own experience.
