My first time trying this author and let me tell you, it was an awesome read. Once you start reading you can’t stop. I’m a little disappointed though. Devon was a monster and his family never knew that he’s killed several people or that Adele was killed and most of all he died to easy . The book needed an epilogue also. Jmo. Besides that , good book
What is the only thing that you can say about this book. Amazing, best thriller I've read in a long time. So glad ms walker posted you're book . My first from you. Devon, sick,crazy, could really be a real person in today's world. Glad he got his. Two close and loving sisters, along with loving devoted brothers made for awesome read . . Keep writing like this .
I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This book was amazing. So Julianna and Devon have been married for two years and he is already acting different. He doesn't desire her as much or treat her with the love he once did. She tries to make things better but he refuses to see his part in what is wrong with their marriage. Unbeknownst to her Devon is a psychopath. Eventually she realizes he isn't going to change and leaves him. Then a new man comes into her life, Evan. He is everything that Devon wasn't. The only problem? Devon is not going to let Julianna go. There is some violence in this book so be prepared for that. This book was so we'll written that I felt how scared Julianna was when she was dealing with Devon. Please pick this up. It's is a wonderfully written novel.
Kept my interest piqued. I thought Devon was an absolute lunatic...arrogant, self-absorbed and of course abusive. Julianna was just blah. Evan and his brother were kind of annoying with their sibling glances, grunts and clipped talk to each other. It was good up until the point it because a low budget film, where everyone makes the absolute worst decisions just to keep the story going. Also the author left us hanging on Jason’s condition.Overall worth the read.
This story had suspense, romance and was a bonifide thriller. Devon was a sociopath who hid it well from his family and friends. Juliana was a trusting naive woman that never lost her self respect even while in an emotionally abusive and controlling relationship. It was easy to understand how Devon was able to fool Juliana but not her sister or brother-in-law. As most abusers are prone to do Devon managed to cut her contact off from family and friends and isolated her so that she could only rely on him.Evan was the man that she always needed. He put her first from the moment he saw her...always. I would love to read a story about his brother, Hudson.
A good effort. I was drawn in by the synopsis. There was plenty action but also several holes in the story. Given how much Devon's family cared for him, their reactions to his death and discovery of his killings should have been shared with the readers. The last lady's death was treated as an afterthought. What about Jason's progress? An epilogue could have answered a lot of the questions rather than the abrupt ending.
I loved Devon. He kept me laughing. He was crazy. Julianne was stupid. Lol. This story was just ok. Some parts were just unbelievable. Devon broke into every body 's house. Always through a window. Really???. First time reading this authors work. Three stars for Devon.!!! In the warehouse Evan was the only one to get hurt that bad. He only fell. LMAO, This was not a thriller to me. Evan 'a back ground was just ok. Nothing really exciting. I thought he and his brother were trained killers. LMAO. No 👎!!!!!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Some parts were boring. Dumb.
I liked the concept of the storyline but it wasn't properly developed. Some parts were just too farfetched. Julianna was too naive at times and it made her character annoying. I skimmed some areas.
