This book is the old version and has inaccurate information needed to pass the 2016 ACLS class. If your buying to get ACLS certified or recertified this is not the book that you want.

This is the 2010 version and the new version came out in 2015. How they can still rent this out is beyond me! I couldn't even do the pretest because the code in the front of the book didn't work.

55$ for an outdated book!! Shame on me for not reading more closely. The most recent version is obviously preferable and is cheaper! Make sure you're buying the most recent version.

Beware this is an old edition and not current for 2015 guidelines. The access code for online self test does not work and the new content for testing by AHA is not included. I was not allowed to use this book for certification as it did not have the new updated content. Be sure you are receiving the newest version available. AHA comes out with new standards approx. every 2 years.

Anyone in healthcare that needs their BLS needs this book. It has to be the American Heart Association. Nothing else will count towards your license generally. But definitely in the hospital setting you have to have AHA guidelines

The book came without the rhythm strip examples which is exactly why I rented the it. If you're an ECG expert this book is for you!

This is the Cadillac of all ACLS books. It's somewhat complicated at times, but if you have a nice college education, it's not difficult to figure it out.Anyways, it is the one I use and never had problems passing the ACLS certification.

This engrossing memoir reads like a thriller. I just kept turning the pages and devouring it, and finally, I didn't start a new chapter until I had time to finish it, because I found myself putting off urgent tasks. I finally finished it on a long international flight. It is the fascinating journey of a young journalist who covers Islamic terrorists and tries to decode why they are targeting Europe and coalescing into the brutally repressive caliphate of ISIS. It begins with her genesis as the daughter of immigrants from Turkey and Morocco, and how she came of age facing some of the rejection and racism that would be cited by her subjects among the reasons why they became terrorists. As she jumps on planes and travels around the world, you will gain many insights into the events behind the headlines of terrorist attacks in Belgium, Paris, and other places. She recounts her conversations with members of terror cells, argues with them about their justifications for killing innocent people, and at times puts up with their proposals that she become their second or third wife, or in one memorable scene, listens to them propose beheading her American journalist colleague. In the end the violence hits close to home. The story is told in a simple, conversational style that doesn't get in the way of the amazing reporting adventures she is recounting. This should be read by foreign policy wonks, by adolescents and young adults, by specialists in terrorism, and by government officials who are involved in coping with the huge wave of immigrants from the Middle East, Africa and Asia. There is so much to learn from this book. It should be required reading at all journalism schools, so students can learn from her methodology and her decision-making in reporting on fast-moving events.

I am currently in the 3rd chapter of this book. WHAT A COURAGEOUS young woman, Souad Mekhennet is. She is blessed with a solid family who have given her much more than love, especially her grandmother (maternal?) who provided life-saving insights and skills. But I'm almost as impressed with her compelling curiosity as any of her character traits thus far. Luckily, she is also blessed with a healthy portion of intelligence, allowing her to learn quickly and make adjustments as necessary. Along with her grandmother's training, I'm sure that's what keeps her safe and alive.The book is alive with information on middle east thinking at the proletariat level and offers the perspectives of average and militants as well as how the behavior of some effects the thinking of many. I'm reading that she has currently just entering Iraq with a westerner in the back seat. To be continued...

This book is really more of a pamphlet than a book, and should be seen as a companion to the author (Brian Kent) website, which contains files and instructions not found in the book. Additionally, this book is better read after looking at the online Wikibooks and tutorials on Blender. This will save a lot of frustration, if you're brand new to Blender. Not sure, given all the online information that contains the same information, that a person really needs to purchase this particular book at all.Having said all that, I found the examples Professor Kent provides on his website to be very useful. Typos should be corrected though.In the first example, the script should be run from Edit mode, whereas the instructions in the text state the user should TAB back to Object mode. This will crash the script, though it is easily fixed.The second example is more of a teaser than an example. The results are rendered beautifully in the author's YouTube video, but there is no information as to where to get the data to input the example. This is a pity, as the example is otherwise written very clearly, and has much potential. Still, how does one run the example without the data input information?

I really enjoyed reading and working through this book. Very appropriate for Blender users of all experience levels. It's a great Python and Blender tutorial book for data manipulation and 3D visualization. The book is concise and the tutorials are very clear.Highly recommended for those not only interested in scientific and technical work, but also with using the Python scriptinginterface to any 3D Blender application. The tutorials get the reader started quickly and can be expanded upon in a variety of applications.Working with 3D data can be challenging, but using Blender together with this book showed how to use a number of featuresin an alternative manner.

This is quite superficial, and you can easily find better content just by surfing the web. This is not even close to the depth of a 'book.'

This 'book' is less than 1/4" thick with 74 pages of actual content. The chapter titles and many figures are promising. But the text either provides fluffy descriptions with little concrete information, or, step-by-step "click here, now type this, now click here" examples.

It has got some nice tips and tricks but it's relatively few and far between.

Would love to have the kindle version so i can open it in my pc. Please let me know when its avaliable. Thanks!

What a diverse way for children to learn the alphabet. This book provides many fun adventures with Bella for children to follow along with a fun cultural introduction to the alphabet. Going through this book with my daughter has been amazing already. I get to expose her early on in life to many cultural traditions and experiences while teaching her the alphabet. great book, great read, great learning experience!!

Beautiful illustrations. I like to surround my daughter with positive images of black children so she won't grow up how I did (not woke). We can't wait for more stories featuring Bella (love her natural hair!).

Love the book, it's super cute and I get to teach my baby a little about her Caribbean background. I wish it was a hard back as I can see my daughter destroying the cover but I love it :)

Loved it

I would never consider purchasing this for a 4-7 year old, as Amazon recommends. This is a very simple first alphabet book, great for babies and toddlers. It would be excellent as a board book. That said, my 4-year-old did enjoy listening to it, and enjoyed reading it aloud to her 1-year-old sister. My 1-year-old liked pointing to Bella on each page. I appreciate that Bella has natural hair and looks like my daughter.

Axe will be with me on high angle rappelling/rescue, swift water rescue, River Boats, SCUBA, land search, etc...Without access to this elite training, I am seeking out information to train myself and Axe in the SEAL mentality and as close to the physical training as possible so no victim suffers due to a lack of training. This is an excellent book on the selection, training and operations of Navy Seal Dogs. The author describes his love of dogs, his entry into the Navy and his eventual ascension to the SEALS. He found his calling training SEAL Dogs and their handlers for combat. The author describes the training in detection, tracking and apprehension and how soldiers lives have been saved by the actions of these highly trained dogs. There are numerous stories of canines and their handlers in combat and throughout the emphasis is on the bond that develops between the handler and his/her dog. There is an appendix at the end of the book on the use of dogs in the military from WW1 to present times, this section was eye opening and informative. The author is now involved with Military Working Dogs that are retired from active combat and helping them adjust to this stage of their life. If you are a Dog lover and a NAVY SEAL admirer you are in for an informative, action filled read about mans best friend and their importance in todays world involving dangerous operations. Recommended.

All dogs give, but these dogs give everything. If you like K-9 dogs this is a great book. It isn't the idea of war that is attractive but the willingness and eagerness with which these dogs are willing to give us everything they have without question. I was also pleased with the author's consistent warning throughout the book that this breed is NOT for everyone, not for the first-time owner or someone who just wants to sit around with a pet. These are dogs that need a job and will ruin your life without one. And very few are suitable for k-9 work.These are exceptional dogs trained by exceptional people to do exceptional things. The stories are great but what I liked better were reading about training methods used and how intensely bonded the dogs and handlers become.If you love dogs and are interested in K-9 type work, this is a great book.

Started a little slow and it seemed the author was searching for material to fill out the book. However about 1/3rd of the way through it got very interesting especially with the stories of actual dogs in real-life situations. Needless to say, I was impressed with how well the dogs were trained and how useful they proved themselves.I'd recommend the book to anyone who is a dog lover or who enjoys reading about the exploits of Navy SEALs. I'd especially recommend the book to anyone who owns a guard-type or protection dog. But these dogs are in a totally different category than your run of the mill family pet who happens to be a certain breed. These pups are something else!

This is a very heart warming read, even though it made me cry at the same time, because the stories pulled on my heart strings. I have a special place in my heart for my father and brother who served our country in time of war. Wll, Korean War and the Vietnam War and all those who serve our country. I'm retired law enforcement and have great respect for the heroism of the hard working, dedicated and loyal dogs that keep us safe, whether in the military, law enforcement or private security.God Bless you Michael Ritland for your endless devotion and passionate love you have for dogs.

I definitely enjoyed reading Mike's Book. I would definitely recommend it to a friend's and others that have such interesting. I also think people that are interested in canines for their personal use would enjoy and benefit from reading this book.
