Stafford weaves scientific research, personal accounts and popular literature into".. oh hell, you can read the back cover for yourself here on amazon.com. Trouble is,it purports to be a book about general psychedelics. Its not. A better title would have been LSD emerging, history and development of LSD or something similar. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed the writing, style and the information. Perhaps it was a publishers decision and Stafford was left out of the decision process. But if your looking for a good book on the history, development, major player in LSD this is a great start. My 2003 copy has 191 pages.

This book was an immediate hit with my third graders, especially the boys. They wanted to read it again and again.

My son loved it ... I like it too ...It's an extra book in our bookshelf ... Price could be better ... Books are getting expensive ...

I have most of the books that Diane has written about Gilbert. They are the first ones choosen off the shelf for nightly readings. I've made sure my nieces and nephews have this book collection as well. Everyone should enjoy a Gilbert tale from time to time.

My 6 year old is a pretty good reader, but she doesn't have a lot of stamina, so short, interesting chapters are perfect for her. This book has three short and sweet chapters, and the story is cute and funny. I asked my daughrer to read me one chapter, and she didn't want to stop and ended up reading the whole thing. I would compare the reading level to Frog and Toad.

This was a very good read for those looking to learn how to work remotely, but also travelabroad. The author starts off by describing his past experience with workingremotely while traveling, and the methods he had to use to accomplish this. In addition, the author gives good advice about the benefits of a global career, and how it can be seen as a good thing on one’s resume.Through the book, the author details his experience studying abroad in places like Bergamo, Italy; Prague, Czechia; Gwangju, South Korea; and more. He not only explains opportunities about studying abroad, but about actual work experience and opportunities available in other countries, respectively; but also, how to balance work and travel, the whole logistics (Accommodations, food, and transportation), Preparation, making friends (which can be a good support system), and most importantly the cost.If you’re thinking of traveling abroad while working, looking to travel while working as a freelancer, or seeking advice on finding a job in another country then this is a recommended read. Filled with tons of details and experience that will change your perception of what you should do to prepare yourself financially and mentally.

I was partners in a company that was acquired. I still need to work but didn’t need to work as much and really wanted to travel more. I have this dream to live and travel through Europe, (and not just on my two-week break from work), which is what drew me to this book. My worries about how this can actually happen were set at ease as I read. There are so many options presented! My mind is buzzing with ideas now of how I can live my dream! I really like the way that this author writes because he answered the questions that came to my mind as soon as they occurred to me. He’s a very intuitive writer in this regard. He talks about studying, working, and interning abroad, and even what visas to get. He gives travel tips that I had never thought of before and how to get involved in communities in other countries. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who has wanted more out of life but feels stuck in their 9am-5pm job. This is the kind of book that inspires you to change your life! Loved it!

I just finished reading this and it was a fantastic book! This was a great read for me, not only because it gave me a greater perspective on life, but it offered hints and shortcuts on how I could merge my two passions together: travel and work. It gave me a fuller understanding of what to do and how to do it, so I could learn how to travel abroad and afford it by working abroad. By following in the footsteps of someone who has worked and traveled abroad, this book was such a guidance to me, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to others.

In this book, the author does a fantastic job outlining how to live a life worth living. His advice is remarkable, yet practical. The resources for the book were extermely valuable and provided me with insights on work/travel visas and how to find an international job. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to achieve financial freedom on their own terms.

Global Career was a very good read. I have never been the “9 to 5” type of person when it comes to work, and I’ve most recently been looking for ways to work remotely on my own schedule. This book helps you get an idea of what it would be like to work remotely, and not in a typical home office setting, but in different areas of the world. I’d recommend this book to anyone who is passionate about what they do, but also spontaneous and willing to really get out there and fulfill their purpose in their career.

I've been working remotely for the past 4 years and always interested to learn how others achieve this lifestyle.My biggest takeaway after finishing this book is wishing i had this book when I initially started working remotely! It has a very clear why and how to working remotely and even an accompanying job board with remote jobs to actually HELP readers achieve what the book is all about. The book is easy to read (and a little addictive).I highly recommend this to young people who are less than 100% certain about their career path. This book picks up where 4 hour work week left off!
