There are a few common things or experiences that I found I have with the author. Amongst other things, coincidently, I am living in Oak Harbor, WA for work reasons but I long for the chance to move back to Southern California and I will because that’s what I want. Anyways, even though, I am still in my pursue of personal goals and still dealing with my struggles, I totally agree with the way of thinking and acting towards life that he suggests. Mine, is a work in progress, but so far I have had good results as well. Other example is that the author had a visionary experience out of nowhere. I had one too, in the form of a dream and related mostly to reincarnation. That experience (the book does not talk about this though) took me to research as well and changed the way I live my life, but the way we see things is totally similar. The only thing I wished he had discussed, is one of the biggest threats to today’s society and why we don’t focus they way we should: The obsession with cellphones and social media. As good as they can be, they can also prevent a person from moving ahead in life. Just look around in a waiting room next time you get the chance. And if you get the opportunity to look at what they are looking at in their cellphones, you’ll see that is nothing productive. I equal a negative attitude towards life to the attitude of them actually doing nothing, not learning anything and just being comfortably numb in their own screens by useless advertising that provides nothing in return, but takes their time and money.
There are many good ideas in this book that can help anyone at any stage in life. It is helping me to change the way I think and go through life. This book is making me think differently and I am glad I took the time to read it.
This is a great read for someone, anyone who wishes to receive that little extra push I'm their life to obtain and maintain a free-thinking outlook in life. I've given several copies to friends who are kind of meandering, and I hope this book will help them.
